In the seventh episode of Voices of Science, host Lic. Rafael Portugal sat down with Mgr. Jorge Ruiz de la Quintina, National Director of Research at UNIVALLE, to discuss how the university is translating scientific inquiry into tangible social impact across Bolivia. From community-led health interventions in Tocaña and waste management projects in Cochabamba to the development of Bolivia's first electric automobile, Ruiz outlined a vision of research that reaches beyond the laboratory. He also emphasized the importance of building a lasting science culture among students and highlighted UNIVALLE's international collaboration with ARCST, a partnership that has produced Bolivia's first multilingual scientific journal, published in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
