Catholic Morning Prayer July 28 2026 | To Be A Saint

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, welcome to the Catholic Morning Prayer for July 28, 2026, Tuesday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time. Today’s readings bring us face to face with the painful reality of sin, suffering, and judgment, but they also lead us toward repentance, hope, and trust in the mercy of God. Through the prophet Jeremiah, we hear the sorrow of a people wounded by famine, violence, and spiritual unfaithfulness. Yet even in their distress, they turn back to the Lord and acknowledge that He alone is their hope. In the Gospel, Jesus explains the Parable of the Weeds among the Wheat. He reminds us that good and evil exist side by side in the world, but that a final judgment will come. The Lord calls us not to lose heart when evil appears strong, but to remain faithful, trusting that those who belong to Him will one day shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. As we begin this new day, let us ask God for sincere repentance, perseverance in goodness, and the grace to remain faithful even when the world around us appears troubled and uncertain.
