"Hydrangeas by the Window in June" 「6月、紫陽花の窓辺」 (Original Piece) | MIDI Rendition and Visualization

A gentle rain falls steadily throughout the month of June—the season known in Japan as tsuyu (“rain of plums”), or the rainy season. The sky hangs low with clouds, the air is cool, and a quiet sense of melancholy fills the atmosphere. Outside the window, hydrangeas bloom quietly, their colors changing little by little each day as they are touched by the rain. Watching this subtle transformation, one begins to sense the distant arrival of summer—still far away, yet quietly approaching. This jazz-flavored piano solo is inspired by such a moment. With a calm tempo and a softly reflective mood, the piece weaves together delicate tones and a hint of wistfulness, like the gentle rhythm of falling rain. This performance is based on my MIDI data of my original composition, rendered using REAPER and Pianoteq 9. There may be imperfections, but I hope the atmosphere and imagery come through.
