Enforcer™ Pumper – Arlington, VA

Arlington County Fire Department was traditionally an #ArrowXT chassis fleet but has recently transitioned over to the #Enforcer chassis for their four new #Pumpers. They chose to make the switch due to the availability of heavy-duty 13.38” frame rails and a metal dash and rear HVAC plenum cover. Each #Pumper includes an EMS cabinet for storage of ALS equipment and a cabinet on the doghouse to hold ballistic vests. The pump panel valves and intakes are all manual for simplicity. The hosebed at the rear of the apparatus contains recessed hose dividers about 6” back to help when packing hose and keeps everything tucked in. On the officer’s side high rise packs and ground ladders are at a lowered height for ease of access. A separate foam inductor was setup to enable any lines accessibility through a panel. For rubbish and brush fires a booster reel was added on top of the truck, along with a deck gun and two additional storage boxes. A shortened 170” wheelbase allows for easy turning when navigating the tight streets of #ArlingtonVA. Right next to Washington D.C. the urban fire department serves about 25 square miles.
