Spoilers A Star Destroyer arrives over Janix City, imposing a lockdown and grounding all off-world travel. Despite Rook Kast’s concerns, Maul refuses to leave Janix, insisting on his plan to groom the Jedi Padawan Devon Izara as his new apprentice. Captain Brander Lawson is detained for questioning by Marrok, who suspects he is withholding information about Maul. Meanwhile, Lawson's son, Rylee, is contacted by his mother, Drea, who is revealed to be working for the Empire. Master Eeko-Dio Daki and Devon Izara attempt to escape the city via train but are forced into a confrontation with stormtroopers after a failed mind trick. Marrok invades Captain Lawson's apartment just as the Jedi arrive seeking help. The group narrowly escapes and heads to Rheena Sul’s casino for sanctuary. Devon and Rylee become separated from the adults and are pursued by Marrok onto a high-speed train. Maul intervenes to "protect" Devon from Marrok, leading to an epic duel between the former Sith and the Inquisitor atop the moving train. Marrok holds his own but eventually retreats.
