It is counterfeit faith—a faith that sounds biblical, appears religious, but lacks the evidence of genuine trust in God. Scripture repeatedly warns believers that not every profession of faith is authentic. Genuine faith transforms the heart, renews the mind, produces obedience, and perseveres through trials. Jesus never questioned whether people believed in Him intellectually. He questioned whether they truly trusted Him enough to obey Him.
