Railroads in the 1990's Part II

In Part II of Railroads in the 1990's, is a compilation of several trips my Dad took to photograph trains in the east coast. We start at Hamlet, NC "The Hub of the Seaboard", to witness the arrival and departure of Amtrak's Silver Star and several CSX freight moves. Then we visit the Clinchfield to see a manifest freight at the bottom of the famous Clinchfield loops. We then move to Russell, KY to see CSX's busy mainline with a westbound hopper train followed by a rail train. Then its on to Kingwood, WV to visit CSX's Mountain Sub and the Kingwood Tunnel. We move on to the engine terminal at Grafton, WV to see helpers moving into position for an eastbound shove. Then we visit the P&LE shops at Mckees Rocks, Pa to see the former RF&P 250 ton steam derrick. A Conrail pig train is seen at CON PIT, PA. The closer scene is Amtrak's northbound Silver Star at Battleboro, NC. Special thanks to my Dad for allowing me to post these films to the internet.
