Square Rigged Tallship Solway Lass has an incredible and checkered history. Launched "Stina" in 1902 Denmark as a steel sailing cargo vessel, she was renamed "Adolf" by a German shipping company. In World War 1 she was captured by the British and turned into a Q Ship then sent out to do some very Piraty things to the Germans. Deliberately sunk during the war to hide her, she was raised, then rerigged as a Gaff Ketch, and then a Schooner. She was renamed "Solway Lass" in Solway Firth and encountered a U-Boat there.
