Bryan Cranston & Jane Kaczmarek Talk Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair & Rodney Dangerfield

One of the most chaotic sitcom families is back for what may actually be a limited time with Hulu's four-episode revival, Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair. Despite getting most of the original cast back together, including the ringleaders, seven-time Emmy Award-winner Bryan Cranston and seven-time Emmy Award-nominee Jane Kaczmarek as Hal and Lois, this pair reveals to Collider's Steve Weintraub that life is, in fact, unfair, and that it's "probable" this is the end of the road for these characters. In the revival series, we pick up with Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) over a decade since the original series ended. He now has a daughter, Leah (Keeley Karsten), and a girlfriend, Tristan (Kiana Madeira), and everything finally seems perfect — except that he's been summoned to his parents' 40th anniversary party, and he's managed to protect his family from their chaos for years. Life's Still Unfair also reunites Chris Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama, and introduces Vaughan Murrae as Kelly, Malcolm’s youngest sibling, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark as Dewey. Speaking with Collider, Cranston and Kaczmarek discuss their first reactions to the revival's scripts, just how ambitious the four episodes are, and Cranston also explains the reverse engineering behind Hal's bee scene. The two of them also reveal their thoughts on more Malcolm in the Middle in the future, and why hit series like Breaking Bad and Stranger Things could signal exciting news for fans. #malcolminthemiddle #bryancranston #janekaczmarek #hulu #MalcolmintheMiddleLifesStillUnfair For interviews, movie reviews, and more visit https://collider.com FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL   / collider     / collider     / collider
