'Flight Into Egypt' Animatic (The Hunchback of Notre Dame Musical)

This was the first animatic that I conceptualized upon listening to the musical cast recording, as I liked the idea of taking up the challenge to think upon how a song like this could be filmed while ascribing to the concept of the voices of Notre Dame all being in Quasimodo's mind (and the most that we could get to see of any of it moving might be an almost psychedelic stained glass window sequence). While the song in my video here plays out a bit differently from the way it does in the story of the stage musical, I think it has a bit of a nice touch towards the end, where Quasimodo feels a surge of confidence as he hears the voices of the church cheering him on while he ventures out to save Esmerelda, but then his courage quickly subsides and the voices cease as he realizes how far he is from the safety of his tower.
