Bridges in songs (Waltz About Whiskey)
This includes the one example in my song list that contains what I consider to be a "bridge." A bridge, or "middle eight" is a deliberate change in chord progression and/or mood, or storyline, used usually in the second half or end of the song to give the storyline a "twist" or , frankly, to retain he listener's attention. In this video I've sung the only song in my repertoire that uses this -"Waltz About Whiskey" by Andrew Marlin of Mandolin Orange / Watchhouse - a fine songwriter, mandolinist, and guitarist.
