You can place the hydraulic jack on either the reinforced central point at the front of the car or the reinforced central point near the rear bumper to lift one side or the whole front/back of the vehicle, depending on your needs. However, the reinforced area on the subframe, located near the center of the car and behind the front wheels designated as jacking point is often difficult for a standard hydraulic jack to reach, especially for low profile vehicles such as Honda Civic Type R, Insight, and even Accord, so you may need to drive the front of the car onto ramps or blocks first to create enough clearance. Alternatively, for one-wheel changes, you can use the strong pinch weld just behind the front wheel to lift one side, but be sure to use a proper jack stand on the corresponding frame point afterward to prevent instability. Always use jack stands to support the vehicle before working on it and ensure you are on a level, stable surface. In this video, we will offer another alternative solution, which is to place the hydraulic jack (also known as garage jack, floor jack or trolley jack) under the frame behind the front wheel and place the jack stand under the designated pinch point.' This video will attempt to address and provide the following questions and concerns: Where to Place Jack Stands when Your Jack is using the Jacking points. Recommended jack stand placement, other than pinch welds? Why is the front jack point at such a moronic location? We will also show you how to jack the car properly, place the stand and how to release the safety locking lever on the stand. 10th generations Civic which covers model years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 two and four doors coupe and hatchback (DX, EX regardless of whether 1.5L Turbo or 2.0L engine.
