I'm Annie 💛 and in this video we continue studying the Sermon on the Mount together and begin to delve deeper into the Beatitudes: Jesus' words full of truth, hope, and transformation for our lives. Today we reflect on the first two Beatitudes: 📖 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” 📖 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” What does it mean to be poor in spirit? Why does Jesus call those who mourn blessed? And what does this have to do with our lives today? What blessing do we receive by practicing/living this? Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom of God begins in humble hearts, hearts in need of Him and sensitive to His presence. These words don't speak of weakness, but of dependence and true hope in Him.
