General Electric locomotives remain the mainstay of South Sumatra's railways for coal transportation. While their power isn't as great as their EMD rival, the CC 205, they remain indispensable for mobile and relatively light transportation. The CC 204 and CC 206 are two GE locomotive classes still relied upon by Division 3 for coal transportation, both owned by PTBA and private companies. Other transportation, such as fuel, is also still loyally pulled by these GE locomotives. The engine's toughness and durability, amidst the increasingly heavy and long coal transportation, hasn't diminished the reputation of these locomotives.
