Fabricating a Turbo Manifold THE RIGHT WAY! - Bmw E30 Circuit Race car
True Race Cars can be very hard on components, particularly longer forms of racing such as Circuit Racing and Rally. Add Turbocharging and intake restrictors to the mix and things can get even more difficult and break more often. On this episode of The Skid Factory we bring in a fabrication expert from Goleby's Parts and Fabrication to work through fabricating a new turbo manifold for a BMW E30 Improved Production Racecar. We discuss the reasons for failure of the original piece, design changes on the new manifold, material choice and welding processes used. You might be a pretty competent self taught fabricator but there is always something to learn from a pro, so grab a Lemon Squash, sit back and have a watch as Steady shows us how it's done.
