DIY: Ford Ranger Starter Replacement

Video tutorial on how to change the starter on a Ford Ranger. With this starter, it was experiencing jamming issues and would not turn over the engine. If you are stuck in a situation, have another person rock the vehicle while hitting the start position on the key, which will help break the starter free so you can turn the engine over. Do not hold the key in one spot as you can burn out the starter if you plan on having it rebuilt or rebuilding it yourself. Sometimes you can also tap on the side of the stater, but that wasn’t working in this situation. This particular vehicle I am working with is a 1998 Ford Ranger equipped with a 2.5L 4 cylinder.
