Driving to Pigeon Forge! KOA Lazy River, Old Time Photo & Root Beer Floats | 10KR | 0209

Our journey continues as we leave Chattanooga and head toward one of the most famous mountain destinations in the country — Pigeon Forge and the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains! Traveling in our 1998 Itasca Sunflyer RV, our family of seven makes the drive through Tennessee and settles in at our campground at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA Holiday. After getting parked and set up, it’s time to relax — and what better way than floating the afternoon away in the lazy river at the KOA! It’s the perfect way to cool down after a day of driving and enjoy some family downtime. But the fun doesn’t stop there… We head out to explore a local flea market, where the girls find one of the most classic vacation experiences in the Smoky Mountains — an Old Timey Photo shoot! Watching them dress up and step back in time makes for some unforgettable memories. To wrap up the day, we treat ourselves to a classic road trip dessert — root beer floats at A&W Restaurants. Nothing says summer road trip quite like an ice-cold float after a day of exploring. From mountain views to family fun and classic roadside stops, this leg of our RV adventure is full of the little moments that make travel so special. Come along as we continue renovating and traveling the country in our RV while exploring incredible destinations with our family of seven.
