Governance for SMEs, entrepreneurs and side hustlers should be practical and proportional to the size and needs of the business. It can be as simple as keeping proper records, separating personal and business finances, being truthful with customers, honouring commitments and making responsible decisions. The key reflection was that governance does exist in small businesses, even when it looks different. At its core, good governance is about accountability, trust, sustainability and creating value.
