MEMORIES OF MALTA ~ LAHAM FUQ IL-FWAR (Maltese Steamed Beef)

Laham Fuq il-Fwar is a traditional Maltese recipe that dates back to our ancestors. Steamed beef steaks in aromatics like garlic, parsley, olives and onions, it is both rustic and packed with flavour. Traditionally done over a pot of soup or stew, using the broth, it was an economical way to make 2 meals at once, using one element of heat. Serve this with garlicky mashed potatoes and crusty bread to soak up that broth!
