Schindler 330A Hydraulic Elevators @ Residence Inn by Marriott - Hoover, AL

Filmed with Samsung Galaxy S5 on February 20, 2019 Two Schindler 330A elevators at the Residence Inn by Marriott Birmingham Hoover. Servicing five floors, they have HT Vandal Resistant fixtures, which are unusual to see in a hotel. Car #2 has a rear door, which only opens on level 1, and is locked. Both cars can hold 2500 pounds each, and have single-slide doors. Installing hydraulic elevators in this hotel was probably a bad idea. These are very slow for five floors, which can be a problem when this hotel is fully booked, like it was when this video was filmed. Schindler's 400A machine room less traction elevator would have likely been better for this installation. This hotel was built in 2008. AL jurisdiction numbers: ALE036383 (car 1) & ALE036382 (car 2)
