How to sew authentic double welts | Guide to a Bespoke Suit

Welts - cut on warp - 10 x 20 cm / 4”x8” 4:24 - 3. Linen / interfacing 5 x 20 cm / 2”x 8” 5:09 - 4. Fuse edges of pockets 5:41 - 5. Add linen to the wrong side of the pocket opening. 6:55 - 6. Optionally fuse/ interface the welts 7:46 - 7. Baste the welts to the pocket opening right-sides together 11:37 - 8. Machine the welts either side of the pocket opening 15:33 - 9. Cut the welts apart and cut the pocket opening making the mitres on both sides 19:01 - 10. Press open the welts and pocket opening 22:08 - 11. Baste the welts 26:55 - 12. Machine the welts and edges in place 33:38 - 13. Reinforce the edges of the pocket with either machine stitches or handsewn tacks.
