How I created a cosy country kitchen

Welcome back to our cottage in the English countryside and today from the corner of our farmhouse style kitchen. A traditional kitchen where you'll usually find us sitting on our Windsor chairs each side of the table, drinking tea before we head out into the garden. I used one roll of wallpaper by Peony and Sage to decorate the kitchen making it go further by dividing the walls into sections. The paint colour above and below the trim is called Portland Stone by Little Green. I have created a cosy atmosphere by including antique pine shelves filled with my vintage collection of Emma Bridgewater's Baby Animal series. These are the bunnies and ducklings. They also hold my small collection of Cornish Ware, and winding through you find scenes from Peter Rabbit and friends. I gathered some ivy from the garden to run along the top of the shelves and from here hung some painted Easter eggs. Now sitting on our table is the biggest Easter tree that I have ever created using a large branch that we cut from our pussy willow tree. It is decorated with decorations that I have collected over many years and eggs that I have needle felted, creating a 3D effect with bunnies, chicks, and ducks. The tea set is called April, by Royal Doulton, and I love to bring this out every spring. I hope you like our cosy kitchen, and I will respond to every comment. Thank you for watching Sarah
