Nike Vomero Premium Running Shoes Review - The Best Running Shoes We Ever Ran In?

The Nike Vomero Premium Running Shoes are launching on the 16th of October at Run4It. We’ve been testing Nike’s pinnacle expression of maximum-cushioned road running footwear. In this video you’ll find out why we think they’re the best running shoes we ever ran in. We highly recommend reading the Nike Newsroom article on the Vomero Premium to complement the information provided in this review - as this goes into a lot of detail about the design process: https://www.nike.com/gb/a/vomero-prem... The Vomero Premium features a 55 mm heel stack in the men’s model and 52 mm in the women’s, paired with dual ZoomX foam layers and exposed Air Zoom units in both heel and forefoot — engineered for impact absorption, bounce, and propulsion. Stability is addressed with a wide base, rocker geometry, and a firm heel clip — all helping that high-stack feel confident beneath you. The upper is built from lightweight, breathable engineered mesh, with integrated tongue and secure midfoot lockdown, while also providing a comfortable and accommodating fit in the toe box. We believe this could be one of the most valuable tools in your shoe kit. Here’s how we’d slot it in: Use it on easy/recovery runs following hard workouts — bounce back without overtaxing your legs. On moderate steady runs or aerobic mileage, especially during high-volume periods, this shoe lets you absorb load better so you can show up stronger for key sessions. In cycles where your legs feel battered, you might lean on it more heavily, using it for nearly all your easy and mid-effort miles. In faster blocks you may dial its use back, pairing it with a lighter, more responsive shoe. Be mindful: using it for literally every run can dull the sensation of its cushioning when you really need it. Alternating with a lower stack shoe or one with more “work” in the ride (e.g. Vomero Plus) remains a smart strategy. Shop the Nike Vomero Premium: https://www.run4it.com/collections/ni...
