The Sălăjan neighborhood in Bucharest is known for the Romanian hip-hop band La Familia, but this neighborhood has its history since the time when the village of Dudești was located here, from which today there still exists, on Ilioara Street, the ruin of the Dudești mansion, built by the Dudeșcu boyars sometime around the 13th century.
