Amazon Ecology – Creativity and Empowerment in the Amazon

This video presents the work of Amazon Ecology, a nonprofit organization based in Loreto, Peru, supporting Indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest. Through creative workshops in artisan weaving, digital skills, leadership, and conflict resolution, Amazon Ecology empowers over 200 artisans from 17 communities across the Ampiyacu, Marañón, and Tahuayo river basins. Our model combines cultural preservation, environmental stewardship, and social cohesion by training local facilitators and reinvesting in the communities through the purchase and promotion of their handcrafted products, both nationally and internationally.
