Today, I started at Sankakuji Temple. From here, I walked the renowned, steep mountain path to Special Pilgrimage 13, Senryuji Temple. I'd visited Senryuji Temple by car before, but it had such an incredible location that I wanted to go back again. However, since the concept of my second walking pilgrimage was, "How many days could a salaryman complete the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage sites if he divided them into small sections?" I was hesitant to take a long detour... but every time I heard the Sunedora members go to Senryu-ji Temple, my desire grew stronger, and I ended up going. 💦 Jizo Pass was a moderate mountain path, but the Kiyotaki route was honestly quite dangerous. Kiyotaki was a beautiful waterfall, but I wouldn't recommend that mountain path. At Senryu-ji Temple, I met some YouTube viewers and heard a lot of stories, and the head priest? I also got to hear a lot about the pilgrimage route, so I ended up staying there for about an hour. It seems that many people head to Tsubakido via the tunnel route, but my "might as well take the chance" mentality kicked in, and I chose the Horikiri Pass route. This was tough. It wasn't so much the route itself that was tough, but the combination of mountain paths I'd taken up to that point was what got me. By the time I reached Tsubakido, I was exhausted. However, this time, Grandpa had given me the mission to "check and report on the weed situation at Sakaimote Pass," so I mustered up my last bit of energy and headed to Sakaimote Pass. Once I started walking, the mountain pass was incredibly pleasant. Thank you, Grandpa! I arrived at Okada's at 5:10 PM. I dashed off to do my laundry, take a bath, and then it was time for dinner!
