Making a full titanium oyster knife for better oyster shucking!

For more than 1,5 years I've been busy with designing, making and testing a better Oyster knife. A knife that won't rust and won't break. I ended up using Titanium because this amazing material is used in many high stress fields like AeroSpace. Titanium is really flexible and is less prone to snapping. And this amazing material can't rust because there is no iron. That's why it's used for medical implants like replacement hips. And this oyster shucker, the "Hugo" model, is fully recyclable. We live in a time where pollution of the environment and plastic soup in the ocean is getting out of hand. This knife is made out of a solid block of titanium and no glue, solvents or varnishes are used. Even the case is made with dowel pins and therefore can be separated. Emergo Designs offers the service to recycle this knife if it would be ''end of life''. The scrap metal price value of the titanium should recoup the shipping costs for the customer. This knife is made on a Syil X7 epoxy granite milling machine. It's computer controlled and the titanium is milled into rough shape. Afterward the knife is finished by hand and by tumbling. There are lots of options for customizing, like the anodizing color or with a custom engraving or logo on the case.
