I call this process 'doing a Tipton', because Dave Tipton is the master at cabinet work. What I did not count on was the days and days needed to let layers of varnish dry with the extraordinarily high humidity levels that we have had in the past two weeks. Anyway, it finally worked out, and the remaining electronics restoration was simple and went off without incident, allowing me to finish the project. I complete this video by giving you a demonstration of the reception capabilities if this set. Quite impressive, especially on Short Wave, benefiting from the band-spread function that is available on the radio. Hope you enjoy the video.
