I learned this cursed keyboard layout (DHIATENSOR) | Blickensderfer typewriter typing; no talking

Here is the "speed typing" footage for the machine presented in    • All about the 1914 Blickensderfer Aluminum...  . If you haven't seen that video yet, you will regard 4 or 5 characters per second (6 if you are especially well practiced) to be quite slow compared to modern typing standards, but consider that the keys on this machine feel heavier and springier and depress upwards of 3 centimeters, and that by nature of the printing mechanism, must be completely released before you can start pressing the next character less the wrong letter be indexed and imprinted on the paper. I am also typing using the unusual "DHIATENSOR" layout that was specifically designed for this typewriter's optimal operation. The type cylinder in use here is for a script or cursive typeface, whereby like on the IBM Selectric which came decades later, these can be easily interchanged with others in order to change "fonts" or typefaces. 0:00 Front view 6:30 Upper left view 8:40 Upper right view 9:46 Closeup view What you can expect to see on this channel: Soon: Typewriter, switch, and keyboard collecting, Romantic Era piano performances (Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Alkan etc.), "perfectionist" Lego builds and mods.
