(G-LSAJ) 27/06/16 Boeing 757-236 Takeoff- 12:40 Landing- 37:00 Windy departure from Leeds-Bradford Airport. A flight video including the taxi, takeoff, approach and landing of flight LS273 to Alicante-Elche airport in the south-east of Spain. Great RB211 sound on departure from runway 32 at Leeds and great scenes over the Pyrenees before arrival into Alicante. A great flight on board the 26 year old aircraft. It does not reflect its age on the inside nor outside. For a low-cost airline there was plenty of legroom and comfortable seats. The cockpit is newly retrofitted with brand new LCD displays for the primary flight display and navigational displays. Jet2.com certainly look after their aircraft considering that most of them are not young at all, but they are comfortable and clean. The flight was very smooth although winds were gusting up to 25knts on takeoff so we were thrown around a bit. We took off with fairly reduced thrust (54oC) and CLB2 thrust was used at thrust reduction altitude. Vectors after departure were south towards Manchester, the airport can be seen until we reached our cruising altitude of 35000ft. The arrival took us over Valencia directly towards the approach for runway 10, then finally the right turn towards the east for a fairly smooth landing. We were positioned at a remote stand after landing.
