Extreme food travel | Badshah ki fried fish Daska | Goraya burger | mutton chaap | palak mutton

The name Daska is said to be a distortion of "Dah Kos". The term "Dah" is the Persian word for the numeral ten, and "Kos" refers to a unit of distance used in Mughal times. The town was situated some ten "Kos" between neighbouring Gujranwala, Sialkot, Pasrur, Wazirabad and Sambrial, hence Dah Kos became Das Kos in the local Punjabi language, later shortened to Daska. The city has gained a measure of prominence due the large number of products which are produced there, including agricultural machines, sporting goods, musical instruments and surgical goods. The area around the city is well known for farming and cottage industries. While knowing about the history of this beautiful land of #daska. Our travel started with a warm welcome of amazing weather. It rained the whole day. When we reached daska we had breakfast from the most famous Lahori murgh chanay. It had home like taste, with light mirch masala so it didn’t burnt my heart out, as most of the bazar chanaz do. Then we visited the Badshah restaurant, which had the the crispiest fish ever. Altho the random Chacha had most of my fish 🥲, but still had enough of the taste which my kid later enjoyed the most. (My family was along in this trip, so yea!) As we were invited to our friend Raees, the daska local, we had a very scrumptious lunch which included palak ghosht, mutton korma and mutton plao. It was the most tendered meat I have ever had with the love laughter and hospitality added up the experience. For experiencing more of the city’s tastes, accompanied by Raees and Nasir, we went to have some rabri dodh, desi drink, at Alsheikhz, it was as heavenly as expected. Because of the beautiful weather we craved for some dahi bhallas and Sabri dahi bhalay was The best dahi bhallas in town. It was amazing and the chit chat with the owner was fun added. As most of the places in Pakistan you would find the most amazing, kind and hospitable people. Then for the evening full stop food we went to the #Goraya Burger. The double decker burger was the whole meal, it reminded me of my childhood anda tikki burger, with full of veggies, yum yum! So it was the whole trip to #daska with lots of mazay mazay ka food and beautiful people around. Special thanks to Mr Raees and Nasir Mehmood for accompanying ❤️ Hope you enjoyed the experience as much as I have enjoyed 🌷 For more updates, Don’t forget to subscribe, turn on notifications and share my content with your networks. 😊hibaasimawaragard for more informative yet entertaining vlogs 🌸 🍃 Where else you can find me: INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/hibaasim_awarag... https://instagram.com/hibaasim?igshid... https://instagram.com/hibaasimawaraga...
