In yet another act of cynicism and brazenness by the Venezuelan dictatorship, Delcy Rodríguez, the head of the Chavista regime in Venezuela, is asking King Charles III to "release" Venezuelan gold from the international reserves that is "held" at the Bank of England, supposedly to "address the consequences of the earthquake." Rodríguez's request to the United Kingdom comes shortly after Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil requested the release of Venezuela's "blocked" assets abroad. On the other hand, the head of the Chavista dictatorship mentioned that she spoke with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, to reiterate her request for resources from the global financial institution.
