In this session, Dr. Christina Lewicky-Gaupp from the Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at The University of Chicago Medicine discusses urinary incontinence, including types of incontinence, risk factors, evaluation and evidence-based treatment options. Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp also reviews common patient questions medical assistants and nurses may encounter in clinic, offering practical guidance on how to address concerns, reduce stigma and support patients experiencing bladder control issues.
