What I found this time was very different: new resorts (or plans for them), hotels, and construction reshaping both the seaside and the mountains. Albania is still beautiful, but it’s not the same as when I moved here. The rough edges that once made it feel like an adventure are slowly being smoothed over — replaced with concrete, chains, and investment projects.
