Biting flies - a budget DIY fly trap that works !

i always joke that Missouri has some of the biggest biting flies i've ever seen... the worst (for me) is the horse fly / deer fly / bull fly... whatever you want to call them. They are big, fast, relentless and MEAN ! I've been battling for 3 years to find a way to trap these blood sucking predators and although there are commercial traps to purchase, at $300 the price tag just isn't doable for us to cover our yard.
