BMW Z4/M54 AC Recharge R134a Top Off - 2003/2008 E85

Is your BMW Z4 blowing warm air? In this video, I’ll show you how to safely top off the AC refrigerant (R134a) in a 2004 BMW Z4 (E85) using a set of manifold gauges. Recharging a BMW AC system requires precision. I’ll guide you step-by-step through reading the temperature/PSI chart so you know exactly how much refrigerant to add, ensuring you don't overcharge the system or introduce damaging air into the lines. If you don't have a vacuum pump, you will need to purge your line at the manifold gauges by slightly unscrewing the hose and allowing the R134a to push out the air for a second or two, then screw it back on tightly. This video was made by a real human, hope you enjoy. TOOLS USED IN THIS VIDEO: • Manifold Gauge Set • Can of R134a Refrigerant • Infrared Thermometer This is the same process for most BMWs of this era, please do some research prior to undertaking any AC work on your vehicle.
