Learn Present Perfect in German Language. Use of haben or sein in German is explained with examples. Conjugation of haben and sein verbs have already been discussed in the previous lessons of A1 German language course for beginners. The sentence structure of present perfect in German language is also discussed along with the infinitive form and perfect form of the verbs. To make a sentence in present perfect in German language following structure has to be followed. The first position is occupied by the subject of the sentence. Subject of sentence is nominative in German language. At second position of sentence we have to use haben or sein in German language. The selection of haben or sein in present perfect depends on few scanrios. The third position of sentence is dedicated for the adjectives, prepositions or adverbs in German language. In the present perfect in German language the last position of sentence is always dedicated to the perfect form of verb. Perfect form of verb is also called partizip II in German language. If the main verb in the perfect is reflexive verbs we have to use haben verb in German perfect and conjugation of haben has to be as per the subject of sentence. All verbs in German language that require a direct object, we have to use haben verb in German perfect and we have to select the conjugation of haben verb in German language as per the subject of sentence. Verbs in German language that have some movement, take verb sein as helping verb in present perfect in German language. For the Verbs in German language that express change of state also use sein as helping verb in present perfect in German language. There are some expections where there is neither movement in sentence nor change of state but still we use sein in present perfect in German language. Learning the use of haben or sein in German language can be confusing in the beginning. However, with the practice one can have good grip on the use of haben or sein verb in German language.
