Though the fifth-generation 'XA50's production was somewhat limited due to COVID-era chip and supply-chain shortages, Toyota dealers still moved some 60,000-plus units annually — even beating out the Ford F-150 in some years. Better still, they were built in Cambridge, Ontario. The fifth-gen Toyota RAV4 came in regular gas, hybrid, and much more costly plug-in hybrid 'Prime' models. The series was facelifted in 2021 with LED headlamps and USB-C charge ports. The SUV's nine key Canadian trims started with the FWD LE, then moved up the price and features ladder through AWD LE, FWD XLE, AWD Hybrid LE, AWD XLE, AWD Hybrid XLE, AWD Trail, AWD Limited, and top AWD Hybrid Limited.
