Fernanda Abreu is Jorge Perlingeiro's guest on episode 207. Singer, songwriter, and dancer, Fernanda Abreu rose to prominence in the music scene in the early 1980s as a backing vocalist for the iconic band Blitz, one of the biggest phenomena in Brazilian rock at that time. Later, in her solo career, she released her first album, the innovative SLA Radical Dance Disco Club, which brought together influences from samba, sambalanço, disco music, rap, funk, soul, and carioca funk. She became one of the pioneers to embrace the genre and, therefore, came to be recognized as the godmother of the funk movement. Her successful discography is marked by innovation and the modernization of pop language. Among her greatest hits are songs that portray everyday life without embellishment, such as the emblematic "Rio 40 Graus," which became an informal anthem of the city of Rio de Janeiro and consolidated Fernanda as an iconic reference in Carioca culture. With the album *Da Lata*, Fernanda reached the peak of her career and international recognition. Considered a watershed moment for Brazilian pop, the work is a true masterpiece: it achieved gold record status and was chosen by Billboard magazine as the best Latin American album of the year. With authority and legitimacy, this "carioca girl with swing and good vibes" mixed various dance rhythms and created what she herself defined as "swing-balance-funk". Thirty years after its release, Da Lata remains more relevant than ever. Fernanda is leading a series of commemorative projects celebrating the anniversary. Under the title *Da Lata 30 Anos*, the celebrations include a documentary, a special vinyl edition, a photo book, texts and memorabilia, as well as a new single, a remix of one of the tracks, and many celebratory shows.
