New 2026 Toyota Noah Hybrid - Best Japanese Minivan

Toyota Motor Corporation has introduced a partial redesign of its popular minivan, the Toyota Noah, bringing updated styling, enhanced equipment, and an expanded hybrid-only lineup aimed at supporting carbon neutrality initiatives. The refreshed Noah receives notable changes to both its exterior and interior design, while also adding a newly developed aero-styled “SX” grade. As part of Toyota’s environmental strategy, the model range has now been streamlined to hybrid vehicles exclusively. The redesigned front fascia gives the Noah a more unified and modern appearance. Standard exterior equipment now includes projector-type LED headlights with manual leveling, LED turn signals, and LED clearance lamps. Higher “SZ” grades offer upgraded projector-type LED headlights with auto-leveling functionality and LED clearance lamps with daytime running light features. Toyota has also revised the front grille styling by combining chrome moldings with body-colored trim elements, creating a cleaner and more refined visual identity. Inside the cabin, the updated Noah adopts a sportier atmosphere with piano black finishes surrounding the shift knob and power window switches, except on the SX grade. The SZ variant further enhances cabin quality with a leather-wrapped meter hood featuring decorative stitching, while additional stitched detailing has been added to the instrument panel and door trims. Toyota has also updated the seat upholstery design to provide a more refined appearance. The instrument cluster has been upgraded across the range. The SZ grade now features a larger 12.3-inch LCD display, replacing the previous 7-inch unit, while the SG grade receives a 7-inch display instead of the earlier 4.2-inch screen. The newly introduced SX grade also uses a 7-inch display. Toyota has expanded convenience and safety equipment by adding front and rear drive recorders. These are standard on the SZ grade, optional on the SG grade, and unavailable on the SX model. A new “Snow Extra” drive mode has also been introduced for 4WD variants to improve performance in winter driving conditions. Additionally, dual power sliding doors with one-touch switches are now standard on the SG grade and optional on the SX model. Ride quality has been improved through revised shock absorber damping settings, helping deliver a smoother driving experience. Toyota has also optimized the placement of soundproofing materials throughout the cabin to reduce noise intrusion and improve interior quietness. Two new exterior colors, “Neutral Black” and “Urban Rock,” have been added to the lineup.
