Mount Persis - Washington State

Mount Persis is a seldom visited summit within the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Unlike neighboring Mount Index there is no officially maintained trail to the summit and the route is brutally steep from the very beginning and challenging to follow in places. Gates have historically blocked access to the forest service road network accessing the start of the hiking route. However, Weyerhaeuser recently sold most of its land holdings in the area and the gates may now be open.
