My first non-ceries climb was in 2013, up Mount Galunggung, but that was a commercial tour. :D hehe . This climb, with my college friends, we formed a group called Gembellers because we enjoy traveling on a budget, haha, but still with thorough preparation. The Chairman, Shohabat, and I divided the tasks. I focused on equipment, some focused on logistics, and others focused on documentation. The Chairman focused on literacy, navigation, and conditions regarding Mount Cikuray. You can see the difference between outfits from the past and now (2026) :D Tips: The climb from POS 1 is dominated by uphill climbs, with campsites at POS 6 and POS 7 being shadowed.
