My Best Miniature Yet: Squidmar Open 2025 Submission

Pushing my limits for the Squidmar Open 2025! This year, I took on the challenge of painting "Ilun" from Akelarre Models, a stunning 75mm witch, and it pushed me further than I ever thought possible. After not walking away with a win last year, I used that "failure" as fuel. I spent the last 12 months getting out of my comfort zone, experimenting with new techniques, and slowly carving out my own unique painting style. This wasn't about a competition; it was about seeing how far I could go. In this video, I walk you through the highs and lows of the process, including: The Texture Crisis: How I stayed calm when unwanted texture started to develop on the resin and how I saved the finish.
