I have always been obsessed with waterfalls, and now I have a way to have a little slice of nature sitting on my night stand :) I have fallen in love with making these beautiful little waterfall terrariums. The name of this one is “Quartz Cave”. I created a cave behind the waterfall filled with authentic quartz points. Anyone who loves waterfalls, crystals, or fairy gardens, you are in for a treat with this magical waterfall diorama. Relax and enjoy this video. Incase you want to skip ahead or back to certain parts: 00:14 Making the “throne” / faux stone base using floral foam 03:43 Creating the stone effect with cement 05:47 Coloring the “stone” with pastels 07:15 Creating Quartz Clusters 09:51 Putting in the Moss 11:04 Making the Actual waterfall with hot glue gun 13:08 Blue “water” at the bottom using resin 14:07 Making solid sand areas with cornstarch 14:41 Making the water splash with silicon glue Full Material List •8 inch glass terrarium •Hot Glue Gun with Hot Glue Sticks •Super Glue •Floral Foam (can also use regular styrofoam) •White Cement (Plaster of Paris; however I recommend Perfect Cast instead) •Acrylic paint (assorted colors; burnt umber, burnt sienna, yellow oxide, unbleached titanium, payne’s gray & white) •Soft pastels (assorted browns & grays) •Gloss medium •Preserved Moss (assorted colors) •Glass sheet (I got mine from a picture frame at the dollar store) •Resin •Alcohol Ink (in blue / turquoise shade for water) •Assorted stones (I recommend checking dollar stores first. Must cheaper than craft stores) •Pebbles/ Sand •Cornstarch •Mod Podge •Silicon glue •paper plates or scrap paper •cheap paint brushes •pastel tools, or eyeshadow applicators or Q-tips Thanks for watching!
