Gibson Les Paul Vs. Gibson SG | Gibson Humbucker Tone Profile

Today we're checking out two of the most legendary guitars ever produced, the Gibson Les Paul and the Gibson SG. Both of these classics have 2 humbucking pickups, mahogany bodies, and Tune-O-Matic bridge; the difference comes with a few details: first off, in with the weight of the guitar, directly dependent on the width of that mahogany-- how does that effect the resonance and overall tone? They also differ in where the neck joins the body; on the SG, they meet at the 22nd fret, whereas on the Les Paul it's the 16th-- how does this effect the playability and comfortability of the guitar? Listen closely and see if you can hear a difference as we play each pickup selection side by side and compare and contrast the tones of these classics.
