Today we are playing the full playthrough of Shin Shinobi Den (released as Shinobi X outside Japan) on the SEGA Saturn! This is a game I spent countless hours on during my childhood, knowing every single path by heart. But that was back then... More than 30 years after its 1995 release, my memory was a bit rusty, especially against the Stage 4 boss which cost me a lot of lives. I was so focused on trying to input the hard 99-lives cheat code (A, Z, B, Y, C, X and START) that I forgot to change the difficulty back to Easy and trigger the 999 shurikens code (L & R + C, A, B). Because of that, I had to make a few video cuts for the lost lives! This game is still a huge favorite of mine, mainly due to its digitized actors and awesome FMV cutscenes between stages. Quite an era!
