From the Sierra Gorda of Xichú, in Guanajuato, we have Guillermo Velázquez on the program, a living embodiment of the music of the interior, a leading exponent of Son Arribeño, and recent winner of the National Arts Prize. And representing a new generation of traditional musicians, the group Tlacuatzin joins us, having taken the power of huapango to stages around the world.
