Police Anti Hooligan Operation at Birmingham City v Aston Villa - 30 Oct 2016.
BBC 'Midlands Today' and 'Inside Out' programmes both made reports into the Anti Hooligan operation carried out by the Police for the Blues v Villa match played on 30 Oct 2016. Extra police were drafted in from other forces as far away as Wales, there were early morning raids on possible high risk supporters, and 14 arrests were made on the day. The Villa supporters were kept inside the ground for an hour after the match for their own safety.
