The Fascinating Downfall of Frank Miller's Batman

Check out my video about Islamaphobia in Comics:    • Comic's Islamophobia Problem   Special thanks to ‪@OmnibusGod‬ and ‪@every_spider-man_ever‬ Description: Join me in this video as we discuss Frank Miller and his contributions to the mythos of the Dark Knight. Starting with The Dark Knight Returns, a four-issue miniseries released in 1986 by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson, Miller's postmodern re-invention of Batman would define the caped crusader for decades to come. Batman Year One, The Dark Knight Rises, Zack Snyder's Batman vs Superman, The Arkham Video Game Series, and a whole bunch of other Batman media would be inspired by this book. Years later, Miller wrote three sequels. The Dark Knight Strikes Again, The Dark Knight III: The Master Race (co-written by Brian Azzarello with art by Andy Kubert, Klaus Janson and John Romita Jr) and The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child (with art by Rafael Grampá). While The Dark Knight Returns is an iconic story, these sequel books were met with mixed reviews. So, what happened? Join me in this video as we answer that question!
