Classroom Function Mortise Thumbturns?
In this video we are going to check out WHY there are mysterious holes appearing in GMS thumb turn mortise cylinders! I’ve never actually (purposefully) ordered a “classroom function thumb turn” but we just received some cylinders in that had the holes for them. Were they boxed wrong? I went to my truck to get some I ordered a few weeks ago and they had the holes too! What the heck? Is GMS just doing this to all of them now? They don’t come with puns but that is a lot of extra hole drilling to just do it across the board I would think 🤷♂️ So just in case you are wondering what to do with this, let’s check it out on a Adams Rite Narrow Stile, a ILCO “Lori” deadbolt, and just out of curiosity a Best mortise lock body
